Beautifully decorated silver Viking fantail brooch. Dated circa, 9th/10th century A.D. The ring portion of this brooch takes penannular form with the pin still loose and functional. The fantail is decorated with symetrical swirls and lines. This is a very desirable piece and would make a great addition to any collection.
